His face is clearer here.

Even the gravel was pretty.

I brought home some really cool rocks. . . The first four people to figure out what type of rocks these are get a special treat!  (Hint:  the treat is chocolate!)

Kids having fun with the rocks.  What kind of rocks are they?  (Is this a geology lesson?)

Carsten on the Web!

He wasn't really a patient. . . . just a model. . .  and if you click on his photo, it takes you to a link where you can see the other three kids in retro video!

Setting Sights High

Somebody taped this list to the kitchen cabinet last year:

Toward the end of the year I noticed each of the items had been checked off.

The list is still posted.  Has it been forgotten up there, or do these goals stand for 2013, too?

They are pretty good goals. . .

He Really Hasn't Changed so much. . .

still good at math . . .
Still creative in the kitchen while wearing soccer clothes, sometimes too creative ( see above photo. . .I'm pretty sure that's orange juice popsicle in egg carton, not frozen raw egg.  But it sure does look like frozen raw egg. . .)  Yesterday squirted strawberry jam onto a banana, rolled it up in a slice of turkey and ate it!
. . . still has good taste in girls and still looks nice in suits.

Here entertaining his second cousin Molly
Do teenagers look back at old photos of their parents and think we looked geeky back then, too?  Or do they just think we're kinda geeky now that we're older?  Back then he thought we were so cool!

However no longer wears batman pajamas under his suitpants (as far as I know)

still quite bright
