Update five minutes later: Uh oh. I asked her what she wanted for dinner, and she said "cake". I laughed and said sure but of course was joking. . .two minutes later now, and Carsten just came in to ask me if he can have cake for dinner, too, and reports that Athena is eating "a ton of cake' . . .

| We had two tests today. . .Carsten had his belt test -- the first one in the big kid class! He now will have belt tests less frequently but his belts will be solid colors only. He is now an ORANGE BELT! |

| . . .And Frances had a FOUR HOUR AP CALCULUS EXAM | Four hour calculus exam sounds hard to me, but reportedly it was "almost easy." Probably it was only easy because Frances was the one taking it! |
